I started the website it was in the top 1% of visited sites:) with a grand total of....4 hits! Made me laugh.
I haven't posted on here much this week because I was working on getting the site up and running. But I am here to share some pictures that I have been playing with on picnik.com this is something different for me because I usually just go with the raw photographs. So here are a few. Enjoy:)

another day another walk

Went for another walk in the park today, but I got to take part of the family this time. It was a gorgeous day and the park was full of people. So I took some pictures.

So I decided that I needed to see what was going on in the world, and what should I find....the end of winter and the beginning of spring! I was smiling the whole time. The park was full of happy people enjoying the sunny weather. It was by no means warm but warm enough to be outside with a light jacket. It was GORGEOUS! I always forget how much I love spring in the Pacific Northwest. It is so bright and happy! Bright yellow daffodils and dark purple crocuses and iris's. Such a lovely thing to see.
OH! and I learned that Mother Goose lives in the local pond:)

So I haven't felt much like going out to take any pictures the last few days as I have been trying to get over this cold. But I have some others from my weekend at the beach that I would love to share.



A house in a small small town nearby that turned out much better than I had planned. I love how it looks all dark and a little spooky even though it was a very nice day outside.

Hooray for getting to take new pictures!

So I finally got to spend some much needed time with my camera this last weekend as I got 3 days! It was wonderful to take the camera and capture bits of the weekend. So here are a few pictures. The ones of the throwing of the flowers were to honor my grandma who died 12 years ago on the 13th.

the purpose of this blog

This is just a way for me to share my photos that I love taking. I purchased a Nikon D40 about a year ago and I LOVE taking pictures. I take them as much as possible which recently hasn't been very much due to a busy school schedule. But I figured this would be a good way to show people the work that I love doing other than teaching. I plan on posting as often as my schedule allows and I also plan to be taking lot's more pictures. I just love sharing with people and even if nobody reads this blog ever I at least feel like I am sharing my pictures.
